How Much Does ADAS Calibration Cost in Dallas–Fort Worth?

By NOS Diagnostics & Calibrations · Published

At a glance

It depends on the vehicle and the work. NOS Diagnostics & Calibrations provides vehicle-specific quotes based on the VIN, the system or systems affected, the manufacturer's procedure and the repair that was done. Call or send the vehicle details and you will get a price before anything is booked — we do not publish a flat rate because the scope varies from job to job.

Educational guidance only. Exact requirements depend on current manufacturer service information for the vehicle.

What changes the scope of a job

Two vehicles with the same repair can need very different calibration work. These are the factors that most often change the scope:

  • Which systems are involved. A single forward camera is a different job from a forward camera plus front radar, rear blind-spot radars or a surround-view camera system.
  • The procedure the manufacturer specifies. Static target work, a dynamic road procedure, or both can be required.
  • Prerequisite work. Some procedures require an alignment, ride-height check, correct tire sizes or repaired mounts before calibration can begin.
  • Diagnostics. If there are relevant fault codes or a system will not complete its procedure, diagnosis may be needed first.
  • Location and scheduling. Mobile service travel and whether the procedure can be done at your site, or needs our Garland bay, can affect the plan.

What to compare in a quote

Two quotes are only comparable if they cover the same work. Use this table to check.

Questions to ask about any ADAS calibration quote
ItemWhat to confirm
Systems and procedureExactly which cameras or radars are included, and whether the procedure is static, dynamic or both.
Scan scopeWhether pre- and post-repair scans are included, and which modules they cover.
Verification and documentationWhat report you receive showing the procedure was performed and its result.
Diagnostics and prerequisite workWhether diagnosis, alignment or mount repair is included, quoted separately, or the shop's responsibility.
Mobile or in-shopWhere the work will be done and whether that location meets the procedure's requirements.

Avoid paying twice for scans

If your repair shop is already running pre- and post-repair scans, tell us before we quote. We can plan around the shop's scans where that is appropriate, so the same work is not done and billed twice. Where the manufacturer procedure requires a specific scan step as part of calibration, that step still has to be done.

Calibration is not parts, repair or programming

Calibration aims a working sensor. It does not fix a cracked camera, a bent radar bracket, a damaged wiring harness or a module that needs software. Those are separate items: parts, physical repair, alignment, and programming or configuration. A quote should make clear which of these it covers. If a sensor or its mount is damaged, that has to be addressed first or the calibration may not complete.

If you need to confirm coverage, check directly with your repair shop or insurer. We quote the work itself and do not make promises on anyone else's behalf.

How to get a price

  1. Send the VIN and a short description of the repair.
  2. List warning messages and let us know whether a scan report is available. Ask us how to share the report.
  3. Tell us where the vehicle is and whether you prefer mobile or in-shop.
  4. We confirm scope and price before scheduling.

Questions

Why won't you list a starting price?
Because a single number would be misleading. The systems, the procedure and any prerequisite work change the scope, so we quote each vehicle individually.
Is a quote different for mobile service?
It can be. Travel and whether the procedure can be done at your site are part of the scope. We confirm this when quoting.
Do I need a scan before getting a quote?
No, but a scan report helps. Without one we quote from the VIN and repair description and note anything that depends on what the scan finds.
