Privacy Notice
Last updated October 23, 2026
This notice explains how NOS Diagnostics & Calibrations (“we”), 3002 Edgewood Dr, Ste 7, Garland, TX 75042, handles information collected through nosdiagnostics.com.
Information you send in a service request
Contact name, company, phone, email and — for mobile visits — the service address; vehicle year, make, model and VIN; the services, reason, preferred date and notes you enter; and any photos you attach. Please photograph only the vehicle and its systems and avoid faces, IDs, documents or other unnecessary personal details.
We use this to review, schedule, quote, perform and document work on that vehicle and to contact you about that request. Submitting a request is not consent to promotional marketing.
The form also asks, optionally, how you found us (for example ChatGPT, another AI assistant, Google, a shop referral or a returning visit) and, if you choose an AI assistant, what you asked it. You can leave these blank. Your answer is stored with your request, seen only by our staff and used to understand which ways people find us. It is not shown on your tracking page, not sent to analytics providers and not collected in the background — only what you choose to type or select.
Security and technical information
With each request we record the submitting IP address and time to limit abuse and spam. Our hosting and security providers also process standard technical data (such as IP address, browser type and request logs) to deliver and protect the site.
Analytics
Optional Google Analytics is currently turned off on this site. No Google Analytics script is loaded and nothing is sent to Google for analytics.
We have prepared an opt-in version for later. If we turn it on, it will stay off until you choose “Accept analytics”; “Reject analytics” is just as easy, and you can change your mind any time under “Privacy choices” in the footer. A Global Privacy Control signal from your browser is treated as a no. We would use it only to count visits to public pages and clicks on our call and quote buttons, and completed work requests (without any request details). It would never run on staff or job-status pages, and we would never send form entries, VINs, contact details, job-status links or web-address query strings to Google, and would not use it for advertising. Google's use of that data is described at How Google uses information from sites that use its services. Your choice is stored in your browser for up to 180 days. Calling or requesting work works the same whichever you choose.
Service providers who process information for us
Lovable (website hosting and its managed cloud backend, which uses Supabase for the database, file storage and staff sign-in) stores request details and photos. Request confirmation and staff alert emails are sent through our transactional email provider. These providers process information to run these services for us. We do not sell request information.
VIN lookup (NHTSA)
The request form and sensor guide each have an optional VIN lookup. Only when you choose it, your browser sends the VIN directly to the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's public vPIC decoder. NHTSA's own policies apply to that request. You can skip it and type the vehicle details instead.
Information stored in your browser
If you tick “Remember my contact details on this device”, your contact details are saved in this browser's local storage so the form can fill them in next time. It is off by default; untick it or choose “Forget my details” to remove them. Avoid it on shared devices.
When you go from the sensor guide to the request form, the vehicle details are held temporarily in that tab's session storage, read once by the form and then deleted. The site self-hosts its fonts and sets no advertising cookies. Staff sign-in stores a login session in the staff member's browser.
Private status links
After you submit, you receive a private status link. Anyone who has the link can see that job's status, schedule, quote amount, vehicle and services, so share it only with people you trust with that information.
Sharing
Besides the service providers above, we may share request information when needed to perform the work you or your shop asked for (for example with the repair facility that referred the vehicle), when required by law, or to protect our rights and safety.
How long we keep information
We keep request records, photos and job notes for as long as needed to provide and document the service, handle follow-up questions, and meet business, tax and legal record-keeping needs. Deleted information may remain in provider backups for a limited period before it is overwritten.
Your requests
To ask what we hold about you, or to request a correction or deletion, email nazir@nosdiagnostics.com or call 214-991-3740. We will respond as applicable law requires and may need to verify your request or keep certain records we are required to retain.
Children
This site and our services are intended for adults and businesses, not children.
Changes
We will update the date above when this notice changes. See also our service information and accessibility pages.
