Electrical Diagnostics

Fault-finding on the systems other shops hand back: SRS, network communication, sensors, power and ground faults — traced to the actual root cause.

How we do it

This is the work that gets handed back: an SRS light that returns, a module that intermittently drops off the network, a battery that dies over a weekend, a code that three shops have already cleared.

We diagnose with live data, wiring diagrams and measurement rather than parts swapping — circuit testing for power and ground integrity, network analysis for CAN communication faults, and voltage-drop testing to find the actual point of failure in a harness or connector.

You get the root cause named, the evidence behind it, and a clear repair path. If the repair is yours to make, we hand it back documented; if it's ours, we verify it with live data afterward.

What's included

  • SRS / restraint system diagnostics and code clearing
  • Module communication and network (CAN) faults
  • Parasitic draw, power and ground circuit testing
  • Wiring repair verification with live data

Turnaround

Most diagnoses complete in 1–3 hours; intermittent faults may need longer or a second visit.

Typically needed after

  • Warning lights that keep returning
  • Codes a dealer or shop could not resolve
  • Post-collision electrical faults
  • Airbag / SRS light after deployment or repair

Electrical Diagnostics — questions we get

Can you clear an airbag light without replacing parts?
Only if the underlying fault is gone. An SRS code that returns is telling you the circuit or component is still faulty. We find what's actually wrong first — connector, harness, sensor or module — then clear and verify.
Do you find parasitic battery drains?
Yes. We isolate the draw circuit by circuit with current measurement rather than guessing at the usual suspects.
